History
He trained in Jerusalem around 1119–1120 under Hugues de Payens. In the Sancta Sanctorum, when Hugues’ black form fell upon the knights, Ärsvan pierced the split Master with the blessed lance.
He fell in love with Ariadna at the gates of the labyrinth and had a son by her, Swann. He became a Time Bandit and, with others, set an explosive of pure chaos beneath the Cathedral of Paris. Seconds before the detonation, Being and Non-Being offered a sphere of obliteration that Ariadna was destined to touch. Ärsvan touched it first and was obliterated.
The explosion freed Ariadna from the labyrinth, sank the Cathedral and opened Paris to the Regulators. His act is the bridge between the Templars and the Regulators.
In the Inferno
He reappears in the Inferno as a damned Templar, praying in the desecrated chapel of the Castle of Siegling, where he crosses paths with Helter without fully recognizing him. In combat against Ariadna, there called Genoveva, he is addressed by his own name.
