Systematic Infiltration and Possession is the theme confirming that the group’s enemies are not only external but also internal infiltrators. The Flamenco (Day of the False Master) is the example, and the Sanctuary is the base of operations for systematic possession.

Expression

  • Christian Templars revived under possession.
  • The Gatekeeper bewitched or possessed.
  • A pattern of corruption of Christian institutions.

The group is now aware of a systemic threat, not only a tactical fight.

  • Voyage to Tyre: Ärsvan disappears in an enemy camp and returns at the landing without explanation. Alexio is dead and does not accompany the group to the island.
  • Day of the False Master: Michel remains under suggestion; the Flamenco is a precedent of infiltration and possession.
  • Before the False Master: an infernal egg lies in the vaults, not yet hatched; a blue book is under a 20-day analysis.
  • Initial attack: unknown enemies assault the Temple. The Sanctuary found on the voyage suggests an enemy base of power.
  • The Descent (future): Ärsvan appears as a “condemned Templar.”

Open questions

  • Does Ärsvan’s fall come from his encounter with the Hesperides? Does knowledge of cosmic forces condemn him?
