Antiterra and the Inferno
Description
In the final cycle of Antiterra he is child and adolescent at once, tall and terrible, and possessed. He is blond, with a long braid, a permanent stain of mud on his skin, a golden horned cow skull over his face — out of shame, say those who met him — and stiff Norse leather boots and trousers. His two-handed axe is larger than he is, and he does not miss. He fights with impossible leaps: seventy feet above the Tempestari, he mounted the creature in midair.
Seth’s blood and execution
At the Eiffel Tower Tournament, Faragod, the electric god “like a Horus of lightning”, pins Seth on the Eiffel Tower, and all the cursed god’s blood falls into the blue water. Sven drinks it, and from then on he changes.
The blood leads him to capitulation. His companions executed him in a scene that became a song: paladins held his arms, beat him and struck him with sabers, and someone finished him with a rifle shot. He did not come back as Sven.
The Inferno
In the Inferno gesta (campaign-cycle), a Dantean descent through the circles, Sven is a Lost One, a damned resident, “ready for nefarious hatred”. He appears chained beside Helter, a Totem Warrior barbarian protecting the harlequin Adam — “loyalty above morality”. He rescues damned souls from the swamp of the third circle and has a scene with Sweden in which the gargoyles ask to move to the second circle. When the company breaks, he goes down with the descending faction and stands guard in front of Adam, who has just stolen the lantern.
During the bomb episode in the Catacombs of the Inferno’s first level, three Macbeth-like witches — from the plane of witches where the group got lost — tempt him to destroy everything with his companions:
“Sven, no pierdas el tren, tren, tren” (“Sven, don’t miss the train, train, train”)
Ärsvan disarms the trap; Sven does not set off the bomb.
Vala
Another Sven, from another continuity, is Royal Cook at the court of Uruk, near the table of the substitute king, in the courtly setting of Prince Debo. He also carries a sword. A member of the Wordbreakers, in their late arcs he marches against the Tower of Ob Caligni and descends into the Labyrinth of Kardan Xairas.
