Apocalypse Quarantine
Its chronicle runs eight days. Under the Master, humanity is reduced to “flesh plugins” living in virtual reality. A few quarantine-breakers hold the subway redoubt of the hardholder Kreider. Thrown into lethal reality shows, they flee to the floating city of Narco Paradise and ride a gravity train to the sphere at the Master’s heart. There the Dark Queen, a slave-node AI, tries to upload humanity through a Pandora’s Gate while unleashing nuclear war. The code word “Borges” brings the node down: the internet goes dark for the first time in ten years; the first child in a long time is born, cradled by members of enemy factions.
