Borges is the code word that shut down the Master in 2087 (the Pandemic of the New World), at the end of the quarantine chronicle. Speaking it brought down the internet for the first time in almost ten years.

History
The Master’s floating sphere was a machine meant to “save” humanity by uploading minds through a Pandora’s Gate. In its heart, the Shibuya leader found the code that switched off the node: the name Borges.
When it was spoken, the whole district folded into a single location, “the garden of forking paths”. The internet fell for the first time in almost ten years, and the veils lifted for a moment. In that gap, where no one had been born for a decade, a child was born, rocked by members of factions that had been killing each other until the day before.
The other Borges
In the gesta Malvinas son de Tulu (Esoteric Order of Dagon), in 1966, another group consulted Jorge Luis Borges, director of the National Library, who spoke an incantation («Yog-Sothoth es la puerta y la llave, el gran Cthulhu es su primo… y en la biblioteca está el signo y el símbolo», “Yog-Sothoth is the gate and the key, great Cthulhu is his cousin… and in the library are the sign and the symbol”) woven with Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius. There his word opened the gate to the Mythos; in 2087 it closes the machine: the same cross-gesta figure.
