The Refinery & Dam is a hydroelectric complex at the edge of the underground redoubt in the Zone; control of Kreider’s settlement and the route to the central city depend on it.

History
An old hydraulic plant with something of Chernobyl in its silhouette, it supplies water and fuel to Kreider’s Hardhold.
On the night of the missile strike, leaked coordinates brought fire on the complex, killing a quarter of the population; Kreider sheltered in his control room by the Dam. Near the end of the chronicle, satellite electroparts — the blue Sky Metal — fell near its towers. The dam, raised one last time, supplied the gravitational energy to forge the “Chuchu” train, the ram-ship that pierced reality to the heart of the Master and shut down the network.
