The Titans are artificial intelligences in the form of guard-women in the QUAR chronicle (2087), born to guard defense systems. They were bound first to the technical genius of Taito and then to Shibuya. Like many creatures of the 2087 quarantine, they were slaves with power: magnificent machines serving the network that devoured everything.

Liberation
When the code word “Borges” shut down the node and the Dark Queen disconnected, the throne sphere collapsed on Shibuya. A hand rose from the rubble (“we have won”) and with it the Titans, free at last, each carrying a fragment of artificial intelligence. They are no longer guardians of anyone: they are avatars of the new order that dawns after the fall of the Internet. They show that machines could be liberated, like soldiers whose visor is torn off, and not only switched off. They no longer depend on the Master, who is disconnected.
