Description
Mascor Blancarba, in the Caldero Gazette, describes him as “the spark that lights the way”, with a deep sense of justice and love for humble people. He is sober without being cold, with monastic discipline.
History
- Founding of La Jabalina. He was summoned as a founding member by Jenya Urikas.
- Rulfo. When the Company of Laughter attacked Rulfo in an alley of the Avenue of Magma, Foggimer was in the group that intervened. After the hired killers fled — at Ayrton’s whisper “home” — he helped carry the wounded Rulfo, with Lukas, to the orphanage, casting minor healing on the way. His authority as a cleric helped convince Gretchyn Tashykk, the wary halfling in charge.
- Bazaar of Life. After the children trafficked there were freed, he stayed with them at the orphanage for hours, blessing, listening and healing. He supports the children and Teo’s NGO with medical and spiritual care.
- The Malachite Fortress. When the subgroups reunited after the Malachite Fortress, Tony told of the Skulks, the gas trap and the Eiffel Tower clock; Sila of the masks’ whispers; Ayrton of the gnomish enclave; Lukas of the bazaar rescue and the Howler; Belicio of cutting through hobgoblins. Foggimer, more sober, spoke of the sacrifice and coordination victory had required.
- Flood Season. In November the rains threatened to flood the city, above all the lower quarters of the poor. The water-control wands had been stolen and intercepted at a distant inn, “El Mono Loco”. Foggimer led their search and recovery, and the city was spared. Behind the theft were corrupt nobles and arcane forces plotting a sinister ritual; the mission exposed traces of corruption reaching the noble halls, but the plot is not fully revealed.
Magical light candles
He lights the main hall of the Bastard Cromas at night with magical light candles, paid from his share of the group fund. The press (Gossip & Style) called them “the most expensive light in the city”, rumored to cost more than the rent of the whole house, and asked whether it was “pious waste or simple vanity”. In the archive they are liturgical artifacts: they dispel minor darkness in the group’s seat, a former house of an eccentric mage, and mark it as under the blessing of the Light.
Powers and abilities
- Miracles of light that dispel magical and metaphorical darkness.
- Minor healing.
- Blessings on liturgical objects.
- Minor divination.
- Doctrinal support in missions with a ritual dimension.
Relationships
He follows Decadian doctrine, or Caldero’s equivalent of it. His priestly line is tied to the Temple of St. Cuthbert, where Jenya Urikas is the summoning priestess; he acts with autonomy but in doctrinal coordination with it. Lukas is his doctrinal complement. He supports the rescue and care of the orphan Jaromir and the NGO of Teo, the Armless Paladin. He gave doctrinal support to the group in the descent to the Chamber of the Whispering Masks, and took part in the Path of Drakthar.
