Beboto is a hippopotamus-like creature of the third circle. The archive spells the name both “Beboto” and “Bemot”.
It emerges from the swamp and bites Sweden, a serious but not mortal wound. It is a large beast but not a lord of the circle; it seems to be local fauna. The companions call it hipopotome (“hippopotome”) and joke about it. Sven tries to speak to it with the gift of the tongue of beasts.
