The Kids of Sogol is the open gesta of four friends from Gatehouse Alley — Dandy, Lucio, Adriel and Lem — who crossed the arch that said “not yet” and took in Lirio in the Mists. Five companions live; a war is under way.

From the temple to the frontier
- The temple was recognized as Lucio’s inheritance.
- Aunt Barbarella was imprisoned in the black dagger; the white one accompanied Dandy’s search.
- In Ungarn, saving their companions left a debt with those they could not free. Lem died and agreed to return. The angel granted them protection for a year and a day.
- Nothenvell (New Edinburgh) made them escorts of the Road of Mertylmane.
- The taking of the Halls of Frost made them political interlocutors: Sidqa of Ascalon obtained local command and the extinguished seed, while they sought recognition for a future branch of Union.
The court and Aries
In Karlstorf, Lenox and Ross confirmed the convoy’s arrival. Burkestein offered help and set conditions on trade. The name of Gamada opened a diplomatic possibility; the king’s account placed Calíope in Aurora Polaris, where earlier accounts had distinguished powers; the versions remain attributed.
The company entered through Aries, defeated seven star knights and recovered Adriel alive. It did not reach Calíope. The king holds the outside; Sidqa’s concession is pending; the return to Sogol by New Edinburgh was postponed.
Open questions
- Dandy wants to free Ajani, but the others do not know what she would choose once free.
- Gunhilda awaits a way out of the court and must explain an absent ring.
- The dagger divides the group; the dream of the Hall of Speakers echoes Lirio’s prayer without resolving it.
- The augury that denied peace to the pact with Sidqa is unanswered.
- The protection against the Balor has an end date.
