Description

He grew up between Leya’s soup and the Gatehouse asylums with Lucio, Dandy and Lem, wearing the rags of the Hive. From the tulani, fey lords whose faces shine too bright to look at, he has a soft glow of the skin and over-clear eyes, in a weak body. His companions defended him as a child. Three eladrin ladies of three dawn colors, friends from the upper planes, are said to visit him.

History

  • First day. After the escape from the Alley, at the taking of the Temple of Ashtar of the Ice he fell at death’s door in the ditch and came back calmer. When black birds marked the group as prey, he scattered them with a torch, saving everyone.
  • Second day. The kiss of his aunt Barbarella beneath the temple drained him, leaving him spitting blood on the snow.
  • Third day. Adrift beyond the Mists, he chose to wait until reaching the village before risking the ritual. The angel of the hammer and the chisel restored him in private, at an inn in Ungarn, at a price. Then came the crypt and Lem’s death.
  • Fourth day. On the Mertylmane road a black-ice creature clawed him; he scouted the Halls of Frost. From then on he escorts Caloria’s war.

Later events

Searching for Dandy, Adriel insisted that Barbarella’s draining and domination had been against his will, refusing Dandy’s comparison with other persuasion; she is held in the Black Obsidian Dagger.

Before Burkestein he asked about the forests’ earlier inhabitants, the logging and negotiation. He helped explain the mercane and Union’s trade.

At the Threshold of Aries he multiplied his images and was left lying, alive; recovered, he rejoined the five. The meeting with Calíope still lies ahead. His three eladrin friends took no part in these battles.
