Sinterra is the synthesis world that results from the convergence of Terra and Antiterra after the close of the cycle of 1901. In its final form, the uchrony of Uchronic Paris becomes Sinterra.

Description

The name joins sin- (synthesis) and -terra. Sinterra follows once the Band of the Dissolution reaches one of the twin worlds and the pair can no longer exist apart. It results from the efforts of the Regulators, the pacts with Atlantis, and the network of libraries Paulus laid over the old churches. The resolution of the Game of Shadows, overseen by Cakravartin, enables it, and the A.D.A. calendar ends its run with it. It appears in the closing references of Events of Antiterra.

It is a scar, not a paradise. A street that was one thing in Terra and another in Antiterra is now both; the sky keeps traces of both atmospheres. Inhabitants from each world know which one they came from; those born later find the question unclear. The archive writes SINTERRA for the cosmological concept and lowercase for the inhabited place.

Views

  • The fulfilled truth of duality, for those who held that one world cannot exist without the other.
  • The final aim of the cycle, what the Regulators pointed to when they faced Barbatos, Seth and Graz’zt.
  • The post-traumatic scar of a world that nearly died.

Aion / Sinterra

In the corpus of the end of Antiterra, the synthesis (“the world where symbols are taken literally”) is named only once, by Sisi, as “Aion / Sinterra”, echoing Jung’s Aion. Elsewhere the bridge to the following world lies in the malleable reality after the rupture of the akashic records and in the refuge world of Lucifer. The “one and triune” riddle of Vault U-571 points here (Terra = Antiterra = the third?). Sinterra/Aion is a seed of the next Mega Campaign, not a closed place.
