The coin of Aion is the threshold of the Egyptian Revolt: an ancient coin inscribed Aión on the obverse, with a phoenix on the reverse, minted in the second year of the consulship of Antoninus Pius, on the XIII Kalends of August, the usual time of the appearance of the wolf’s star.

The rite

It is felt under the tongue, spat out, looked at and bitten with the fangs. It splits, and a gas with the taste of bitter almonds comes out. One passes to the other side.

The gesta (campaign-cycle) preserves a warning from its distant mirror: a presence in a silver estuary bit an imaginary coin and succumbed to cyanide smoke.

  • Quamar is where the silver stars are forged.
  • Aion is presented as the ageless face of Time.
  • The name resonates with the term “Aion/Sinterra” that Sisi gives, once, to the synthesis of Terra and Antiterra (see Sinterra). It is a resonance of name, not an identity.
