The Guardians of Antiterra (the Four Winds) are four cardinal beings who held up the world of Antiterra through its geometry; when they fade, around 1901, the world falls.

Description
Four huge, humanoid, semi-transparent figures, their blurred outlines announcing dissolution, arranged around a small celestial globe (Antiterra):
- North (top): standing figure with a staff — “sees, but its sight is fading.”
- South (bottom): bearded figure with a scepter — “feels, but its heart grows cold.”
- East (right): female figure with a crown — “knows, but its wisdom darkens.”
- West (left): male figure with a sword — “remembers, but its memory fades.”
Each sentence ends ”— year 1901”.
Fate
Around 1901 the four are half-dead, sustained only by the remnant of belief their peoples keep. Their fading opens the Band of Dissolution; they no longer operate in the later Sinterra.
