The Rudishva are the second alien race of Ardis Vala, beside the Heqeti. They arrived about 3,000 years ago when their starship, the Shining Lighthouse, crashed, and they brought advanced technology rather than magic.

Description
Their construction is the second-oldest layer of the mega-dungeon, after the Heqeti and before the Archontean. Their technology: blasters, communicators, rocket launchers, plasteel armor, medical kits, energy shields.
History
The crash scattered technology and left a weapons module with the AI RAJ-750, behind the bomb egg that destroyed Ritornello. The survivors lived a thousand years as an exiled group; from that isolation Malakita emerged as the one who best restored their gothic armors.
Master Malakita, the best-known Rudishva, was at once Rudishva, vampire and floating skull with embedded AI. He founded the Knights of the Scar of the Sun in 1123 AEP. Alúmine beheaded him in the middle phase of the first cycle, beginning the chain by which the companions took the order.
Descendants
The Varumani, trolls of the Court of the Thegn under Varboka, First Thegn, descend from Rudishva servants. They operate the still-working Rudishva elevators of the Troll Lifts.
Technology in the dungeon
- L05, Obsidian Gates: largest concentration; intact devices, Hall of the Forty Pillars, anti-magic barriers; the alien vivisector Psalor Ki.
- L06, Troll Lifts: working elevators. L07: secondary modifications.
- Ziggurat of Kauket: Heqeti-controlled, possibly absorbing Rudishva technology.
- Chamber of the Lighthouse: teleporters to the Obsidian Gates and the Floor of the Great Abyss.
- About 69 scattered devices, each with a 10% chance of failing per use.
Cross-gesta hypothesis
Eagwulf of the New World is identified with Iggwilv, creator of Graz’zt, and Graz’zt with Graz’zt’s New World facet. Since Melok-Ri is Rudishva, a link between the Rudishva and the Annunaki / Graz’zt across gestas (campaign-cycles) remains a strong hypothesis.
