Name

Taken “from the one who gives our dates: Enoch” (Book of Enoch). Ardis Vala dates from the Pact of Elías with the dragons; the Watchers underlie its Enochian layer.

History

He reached the Sancta Sanctorum behind the two heavy-aproned smiths the night the order kept vigil for master Malachite. He questioned the Seekers librarian-like in the consistory garden of the alpha and omega: did you bring from those holy places only what the master said?

Told that an intelligence (RAJ-750) now nested in a gem in the master’s corpse, he read notes in the Rudishva tongue and found the draft instructions, with the line “Weapon module at the beacon” and others mentioning a sister, and said the floating head “reminds me of something called a demilich”.

As the head summoned the indoctrinated knights to a last rite, the Seekers urged him: “Make a decision: be part of oblivion, or help us save this world!” He chose to help. While they climbed the tunnels and sealed the way, he tried to hold back the pursuers led by Sir Simonet; the head’s ray took him: “Enius has fallen!” A fugitive summed up: “These idiots are now worshiping a techno-demilich.”

A head of Enoch appears in other chronicles; this one was not his.
