Description
Over two meters tall, slimy and fish-smelling, with the small ancient horns of the star visitors, he dresses like a dandy in high boots. His library holds crystal tomes readable only with a reading artifact, among them the scroll of the Shackles of Hecate.
History
The Seekers of Ardis Vala met him on the fifth level, before the Obsidian Gates. He asked: «¿Me trajeron el huevo?» (“Did you bring me the egg?”), then left a phosphorescent trail to his dwelling.
He calls the Lord of the Arena (Lord Carcalus), once the ship’s entertainer, his cousin. He seeks to make primitive life evolve so it will help them return to the stars. In his temple, beside the rift, vats smoke and living prisoners wait beneath a marilith statue.
With hyperbaric chambers he stretched the count of the Egg of Ritornelo from hours to twenty-nine days, but cannot destroy it; he believes that at zero all organic life in Ardis Vala will perish. He asked the Seekers for the keys and module parts, and later invited them: «Traigan a todos los que quieran a comulgar, porque la carne será limpiada» (“Bring all who wish to take communion, for the flesh will be cleansed”).
The Seekers broke the sanctuary, killed its guardian, the Obsidian Marilith, and wrecked his laboratory. Valley gazettes spell his name Salorquí.
