The Heqeti are one of the two alien races of the world of Ardis Vala, the other being the Rudishva. Their constructions in the Mega-Dungeon are 3,400 years old, the oldest of its four architectural layers (Heqeti, Rudishva, Archontean, Varumani).

Description

They predate the Rudishva and the human Archontean occupation. Their black ziggurat in a cavern has joints too fine and proportions not of human making, combining alien work (probably unknown xenic magic) with materials preserved for 3,400 years.

The Ziggurat of Kauket

Their main seat is a temple to Kauket, demon prince of Darkness, whom they worship. It is entirely under Heqeti control and strictly defended by their own technology or magic, making it practically impenetrable without diplomacy.

Reepsiq

Reepsiq, “the Great Tongue”, is their only visible diplomat and outsiders’ sole known contact, acting as spokesman, interpreter and validator by institutional decision.

Relations

  • Kaliyani — favored; a Heqeti sub-race or renegade servants, residents of the Kaliyani Pits, led by Tsilliv of the Twelve Consortium.
  • Skreel lizardfolk — weakly favored.
  • Kerbog Khan — antipathy and fear; a mad mage who disputes the Arcanum with them.
  • Priscians, Knights of the Scar of the Sun, Varumani — antipathy.
  • All others — unknown or distrusted.
