The Zodiacal Platforms are concretions of cosmological energy, based on abstract concepts, that divide a dual universe into twelve facets (a Cosmic Numerical Base, BCN, of 12). Each platform corresponds to a zodiac sign, holds one essential column, and imprisons a guardian.

Nature
Platforms are divided by the BCN of their universe; the zodiacal set forms a dual universe of BCN 12 (see The Game of Shadows). Their stacking, sectioned in slices, determines the columns. A column is constant in concept but varies in style by world (violence is subtle in the dream world, expressive in the Mayan world, deadly in a medieval fantasy universe) and relates closely to the platform’s guardian, who is bound to it by the office and cannot leave the sign.
The Dual Corruption
Whoever kills a zodiacal guardian becomes the guardian or is destroyed. No vacancy is left: the guardian changes, the column does not. Mortal guardians rotate while each platform’s concept persists across eras.

- Les Libertateurs (1717–1784 A.D.A.) face the Platform of Aries, closing their passage with American independence.
- The Regulators (March–April 1888 A.D.A.) face Aries again under Gabriel’s guidance, then Taurus (received by Jack Bull at Fort Clark).
- In Atlantis, Pisces gives access by water, without tunnels.
The crystal of Ardisvala
The mega-dungeon of Ardis Vala is not an excavation but a crystalline stack of ten of the twelve zodiacal layers:
- Layer I, Aquarius: the surface, present era (Gosterwick / Glastonbury, with the Seekers of Ardis Vala active).
- Layer II, Pisces: waters that remember.
- Layer V, Sagittarius: apocryphal arc.
- Layer VI, Scorpio: caustic roughness of the stone.
- At the bottom, Aries: rams and the first abysses.
