Scepter of the Gods (also Throne of the Gods) is the regal, central piece of the Rod of Infinity, the three-part cosmic mega-artifact. It is the binding element between the Gem of Creation (origin) and the Stone of the Apocalypse (end).
| Type | Artifact |
| Part of | Rod of Infinity |
| Function | Cosmic authority, command, regency |
| Spanish entry | Cetro de los Dioses |
Description
The archive’s formula places it in the middle of the trio: Gem of Creation ← Scepter of the Gods → Stone of the Apocalypse. Where the Gem is origin and the Stone is end, the Scepter is authority. The other two pieces can exist without it, but without it the Rod is not assembled.
In its plate the scepter is also a throne: the grip opens into arms and the head is crowned as a backrest. The burning gem and the dark stone flank it at exactly equal distances.
Name
Sources alternate between Cetro (scepter, a portable regal rod) and Trono (throne, a fixed seat of authority). Both forms keep the function of regency. The archive records both as valid; the canonical form is unsettled.
History
- Primordial Era: an original component of the Rod, alongside the Gem and the Stone.
- Eiffel Tower Tournament (1890 A.D.A.): the mega-artifact appears split into three disputed portions. Two were held by the Great Khan as prize and lure; the third was inside the Tarrasque, as representative of Seth.
- Caldero / La Jabalina: the Scepter is declared a component of the Rod in this gesta (campaign-cycle), which takes up the thread of the Rod and its three pieces.
Open questions
- Which of the Great Khan’s two portions is the Scepter and which the Gem or Stone is not settled.
