Yog-Sothoth is the power that the New World chronicles name as having co-opted the mechanism of the platforms: “el mecanismo ha sido cooptado por Yog-Sothoth, quizás” (“the mechanism has been co-opted by Yog-Sothoth, perhaps”).
Cross-gesta connection
In Libertateurs (New York, 1784) Yog-Sothoth already appears among the “Masonic enemies”. If it co-opted the platforms in 1987 and is already present in 1784, its presence in the platform system is long-standing. The “secret of dual magic”, “what prevents entry”, could be the defense against this co-optation.
