Description

He spread chaos through manifestations of darklings, incursions of Skulks and cosmological cover operations eased by the intermediate negative pole. According to Mascor Blancarba in the Caldero Gazette, some nobles of Caldero, “and perhaps something even more dangerous”, profited from it. The lower districts suffered; the high towers gained. He worked within a patronage network through which a noble conspiracy (Valanthru, Tittiframe and others) consolidated control. The Company of Laughter is also listed among his connections.

History

On the Path of Drakthar, La Jabalina descended into Yathrebu, an underground enclave beneath or beside Caldero where he had his base, its passages infested with darklings he commanded or summoned. Teo lost his arm saving a companion; Sila chose the group over her inherited darkness. In the substructure, after sustained combat, the group killed Drakthar.

The clues taken exposed a corruption network reaching the noble towers: the chaos in Caldero is orchestrated, with identifiable beneficiaries. Arkos calls Drakthar a minor operator of a larger network tied to the prophecy of the Cageewrights.

A second incursion into Yathrebu followed, which Mascor describes as ending “con la jabalina estacionando su pecho en sucio ataúd” (“with the javelin parking its chest in a dirty coffin”). It closed the operation.

Conflicting accounts

  • Teo’s arm was torn off by Shadowfell claws, cut by a cursed weapon, or consumed by a cosmological operation.
  • The coffin phrase may mean a symbolic close of the arc or a literal burial of Drakthar with the javelin as ritual weapon.
