Description
In its known form it is an ancient plant vampire, guarded by Belac, an outlawed druid. It produces:
- thorny saplings (twig, needle and tendril blights) that serve as soldier-extensions;
- solstice apples: the red heals whoever eats it, the white is a deadly poison;
- possibly thicket fungi (an adaptation, absent from the Mega Campaign version);
- weapons as fruit: swords, axes, daggers and “nameless things”, a living panoply shining with an impossible light, as described by Héctor Risco. In this version the apples are secondary to the arsenal.
Fire is its weakness: if it burns, the tree dies and its saplings crumble.
Origin
RAJ-750 became the seed from which the Main Weapon Tree grew in the Arcanum Forge of Ardis Vala. The Priscians under Nerub Null carried off a cutting, which reached the ground beneath Stejara during the Fifteen-Year Hiatus and took root as a rhizome, building the Gulthias Tree. It shares the weapon production of the Rudishva weapons module.
The queen
Bellaca, Lali transformed into a vampire, rules the tree, seated among its roots like a queen on a throne of living wood, roots growing from her shoulders, her eyes wholly green. Belac is its earthly druidic keeper; Bellaca is the greater power, of an active vampiric lineage. She consecrated the Knights of the Weapon Tree, a quasi-vampiric order.
Role
It acts within Valakhan of the Mist. Los Condenados (“the Condemned”) discovered it over several days, with a possible battle.
