History

A tracker and tavern singer, he was the only survivor of those who had gone down into the ravine and wanted no more of it. The old herbalist pushed him: “Héctor, don’t be a chickenshit. Adventure came looking for you. Third time’s the charm.” He guided well, going down first on his own rope, but his mind was blocked.

In the Citadel’s throne hall, after the battle, the violet glow of the central well called him and he jumped in. He returned with his memories whole, a half-black glowing sword grown down below, and a message from the queen of the roots: there is no need to fight; she only wants them to come down.

In the barrows, his sister appeared among the dead begging for help; he embraced her, but she was a husk that wears people, and Kira broke its neck before his eyes. At the claw watchtower a flesh specter drained his life while taking on his face; a brown bear’s charge saved him, and the Abbot restored what was drained. His forest master Salazar later found him wiser.

Fate

He was last named fighting beside the company and marching toward the falls.
