Belac (Belac the Outcast) is an outcast human druid, earthly custodian of the Gulthias Tree in the Sunken Citadel, converted to the cult of the vampirized tree and servant of Bellaca.

| Serves | Bellaca and the Gulthias Tree |
| Spanish entry | Belac |
Description
In the Valakhan version the name was kept almost unchanged (“it sounds Romanian”). “Novelac” may be the same name. He is wiser than strong, of ordinary build and sharp mind, and endures more punishment than his figure suggests; he wears hardened leather and a wooden shield.
- He left pure nature for the tree’s directed corruption.
- He commands thorny saplings (twig, needle and tendril blights) as soldier-extensions.
- He offers the solstice apples to the valley’s inhabitants: the red one heals, the white one poisons.
Hierarchy of the Tree
| Level | Entity | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Cosmological | RAJ-750 (seed) → Main Weapon Tree | AI-vegetal origin |
| Regional | Bellaca, vampiress | Cosmic queen of the tree |
| Earthly | Belac | Human druidic custodian |
| Soldiery | Thorny saplings | Vegetal extensions |
His druidic rank gives him access to corrupted nature magic, but the greater power of the tree is Bellaca. In the older tradition of the Citadel he serves the Gulthias Tree and guards the underground grove; in the archive’s version that role stands, subordinated to Bellaca as queen.
Role
He is a probable encounter for the Condemned in the underground grove: he may negotiate and share knowledge of the domain, defend the tree with druidic magic, or offer druidic corruption — a parallel to Numa Pompilius in Ardis Vala, the first druid turned vampire.
Open questions
- How he connects with Bellaca in practice is not settled.
