Spanish entry Dr. Zoulu

Description

“Zoro” is the young form and everyday name; “Dr. Zoulu” the adult, an African-American physician in a white coat, in a Victorian consulting room full of anatomical plates.

History

  • The jump. In 1919 A.D.A., a year still to come, General Tasker H. Bliss sent Zoulu back to 1889 with a briefcase holding a film reel, part of a message for Captain Tasker H. Bliss (1889). Lotario was on the “scientific” team of the Eiffel Tower experiment that ran the jump (Paradox).
  • Labrador. In the frozen north, a group (Rose Wisdom and her wolf, Argeia, Dr. Dublin) attacked the camp for the briefcase; Zoulu, Maleika and a Nazimar, Cornelio, held out. Brightwind opened an escape portal to Baton Rouge.
  • Baton Rouge. At the inn the group learns that Zoulu (31) is the son of Henri “the Frenchman” (19) and the black snake charmer of the itinerant southern circus.
  • Arcadia Wilderness Park, Los Angeles. Facing Argeia again, Zoro gains the power of Faragod, electric god of hawk and lightning, and takes an Atlantean sage hostage.
  • Elemental Plane of Water. In an Atlantean prison city, Seth pierces the sphere and a crystal dragoness flees with the cosmic egg to Antiterra (possibly Arizona).
  • Eiffel Tower Tournament (c. 1890 A.D.A.). He lands the critical blow on the 35-meter titan, breaking its magical defenses.
  • End. With his will exhausted, he is possessed by a Demilich crown; he explodes in fire, together with the stolen Faragod, as the Atlantean colony departs. His death resolves his paradox: the time-traveling grandson paradox, which Charlemagne knew from a book from the future.

Open questions

  • It is also said that Zoro was “the son of” someone who had already been among the Deep Ones; the chronicles do not confirm it.
