History
He never removes his mask; witnesses always describe him as “más puesto que nunca” (“more fired up than ever”). He knows where the Spear of Destiny is buried: a riverside hill that will later bear a church.
His declared mission is to defeat “the Muslims who have taken Spain”. Meeting travelers from other centuries, he agreed to pass coordinates through the Akashic Records and promised future help, then rode south with Rolando and the Knights to resume the Reconquista.
In later lineages — Elías’s, and that of the six-fingered demon of the Second Circle of Hell — he is not a blood ancestor but a recurring reference.
Open questions
- He knew of his future time-traveling grandson from a book from the future; how that knowledge preceded any possible crossing is unresolved.
