Lubina is a succubus and practitioner of dark magic and seduction, a figure of the Dark Ages period of the shared cosmos. She is mapped in the Postmodern Pantheon table as a deity of Lust.
In the gesta (campaign-cycle) of The Company of David (York), she controls More, a possessed warrior who bears Excalibur, and victimizes Shen, a tracker of David’s group. She was forced to flee before a manifestation of the light of Lugh.
In Señores de York (“Lords of York”)
Lubina leads a camp of Picts: milk-white skin, red hair, a small body. She seduces More, then captures the whole search party with a spell of well-being and relaxation in her tent, and forces the prisoners to attack York and Monkchester. Only divine intervention (“the arms of Lugh”, or celestial angels) breaks her hold. In the Epilogue, Wako calls her “the harpy”.
