Origin
He was not born undead. He was treacherously murdered near a Wall of the Living Dead, became part of it and came into contact with its great undead strength. An old man had warned him that a warlock like him would never survive the judgment of god. He did not survive it, and returned from it as a lich (see Lich Phylactery).
The ring
His power is bound to his ring, an instrument of naming and spectral conjuring that can house ghosts. He agreed to keep the specter of a dwarf warrior in it, and the ghost of Mabrón, poet and prophet, also passes through it. The ring also grants three wishes; Wako spent the first escaping a prison while giant insects harassed him.
The Armor of Lies
A prince gave him the Armor of Lies, which disguises his appearance and even his thoughts. With it he passed himself off as other people, once even as a kind of goblin.
History
His main arc belongs to the Contest, the tournament of 1370 DR:
- with his brothers Jaco and Dott he crossed a portal into Hell and met Maristo, Arian and Minborgen;
- he was summoned in Sigil for the mission of the crowns;
- he defeated the Tarrasque, probably his greatest deed;
- he recovered the Codex of the Infinite Planes, which Maristo snatched from his hand.
His path had earlier brought him near the Stone of the Apocalypse. At their reunion, Maristo ran him through with the sword of Kas and his essence crumbled to ash.
