In Les Libertateurs (1784)

The Caribbean is the threshold between Primary Earth and Atlantis’s underwater layers. Antigua is the final platform, Pisces, of the Game of Shadows. It is the lost gate of Atlantis: beneath it opens the shaft to the sunken continent, guarded by a giantess, “the daughter of Antigua”. It suffers a demonic infection; Jumbies on its beaches kick the corpses of Zarpaoli and Queen Margot. It has ziggurats, the settlement of Farshore to the south, and the Palace of the Cacravartin (the Atlantean king’s lotus throne). Here La Plume and Tel wed (“the last wedding between gods and men”), and the clone of Oratiol receives its restored soul.
