Zeus is the Greek god in his Antiterra version, who waited five hundred years, since the fall of Greece to the Turks in 1453, and reappeared at the Eiffel Tower Tournament, where he impaled Seth on the tip of the Tower.

History

He arrived as lightning, and the lightning was himself. With a cosmic wrestling hold he impaled Seth on the very tip of the Eiffel Tower, through the throat. Cosmic holds are combat figures realized only when two divinities clash through a human object. Blood, his or Seth’s, formed a lake at the Tower’s foot.

He lowered two companions of the group gently in a telekinetic sphere, then left. For a whole day he stayed over Paris, causing a permanent electrical storm with a sun halo and an eclipse at once, remembered as “the day the sky could not make up its mind”.

Depiction

The plate shows him with classical musculature, beard, and blue lightning issuing from his nape and forearm; Seth, long-horned, hangs impaled on the Tower; below, the two companions float in the sphere; Paris glows behind.
