Description
Masked, in the style of the Marquis de Sade, she decides coldly over life and death. Her predecessor, Keladorus of Arcturos, was killed by the behir while trying to recover the Third Mystery.
She holds the three Mysteries of Set, the liturgy of the Temple of Set in the Halls of Thoth, the trade of the Forum, the level’s central bazaar, and, nominally, the slaving Guild of Service. Hers is the best-organized faction in the dungeon after the Varumani, tied to slavers and evil nobles of Ritornello.
Staff: Belisarius the Overseer, her second; priests Marius Junienos and Lacedaion; Bibliothecarius, archivist; and Gunnar, Chief Slaver, seen only as a doppelganger while the real one hides.
History
When the Seekers brought the cursed necklace, she staged an auction among mephits, the Valumani, priests and Sir Circalculo. He won at 30,000 gold pieces but seemed possessed or replaced; another version of him emerged from the mist. Stephania offered a choice: sacrifice him or be executed. Jenny Taskbinder / Eugenia, a genie who administers contracts, confirmed a one-week grace period. The Seekers escaped with the rubies from the eyes of Set’s statue, triggering a mechanism of Prisco Electe.
She remains an undefeated, latent threat.
