Natalio Ruiz is a human summoner, the first documented sorcerer of the shared cosmos, bound by a demonic pact to three Shadows and killed by the poison of one of them, the goblin.

History
Natalio has a dragon, the Black (Caustalak), whom he loves dearly. His mount was earned after a hard fight with his Shadow projection, for now a vicious goblin. His demonic pact brought much trouble.
He helped some men rescue other men captured by a Lamia in forced league with a dark elf, while Caustalak bathed in a nearby swamp.
The Shadows
His pact binds him to three Shadows, demonic projections:
- the Goblin, agent of Satan, who will assist him but also kill him;
- the Cleric, Griselda, “the mistress” of the goblin;
- the Red Dragon, ridden by Griselda.
Death
Natalio and Elías, the mage who saved his life, fled the council of the dragons. Alerting his enemies, he died of the goblin’s poison.
Chronology
In the Calendar seen from Amitlai’s viewpoint, 348 DR is the “History of Natalio”: first contact with the Shadow, the Goblin; the Black dragon; «se aspecta el concilio de las narices que Tiamat mete en Andgara» (roughly, “the council of the noses that Tiamat sticks into Andgara”); the Indian; the Rift of the Gods; the adventure of the portal to the abyss; the gods are locked away.
No role with the Lance, the Gem of Creation or the victory over Tiamat is attributed to him: those belong to Minaya and Sol-Luna in 1375 DR.
Reincarnation
Natalio is the first link of a chain of reincarnation whose members share the same soul: Natalio → the Indian → Coyote → Arian → Elisteo → successors.
