Description
Mascor Blancarba, in the Caldero Gazette, describes it as flight innovations that let the elite move quickly through the city; still in development, it is already changing how the richest travel. It is not yet perfected, not yet mass-produced and not affordable for most. It belongs to the present cycle of the Magical Industrial Revolution. A broom is displayed as a novelty under a glass bell on a pedestal with a bronze plaque, watched by gentlemen in frock coats, while outside people already fly over the city’s spires.
History
- After 1812 AE: developed in the accelerated workshops of Star City.
- 1824 AE: available to wealthy customers; popular criticism emerges.
Controversy
The Miracle is seen both as a triumph (flight, once the stuff of myth, is now a commercial product) and as an instrument of inequality, since only the elite own it. City Star Magazine ran a photo of Tony of La Jabalina with his Miles broom under the headline “Magic or marketing?“.
Known customers
- Tony Malatesta, documented owner of a broom.
- Lord Valanthru and Tittiframe have requested Miles flying devices.
