Anubis is a god of the Egyptian pantheon in Antiterra: guide of the dead, the power that decides who dies and who does not, and keeper of the crossing of “the wall”. His recorded incarnation is a huge, foul-mouthed farmer who curses as he harvests alongside laborers in Mexico.

Description
Neither recorded form has jackal features. His incarnation is a giant man, the elder of two giant brothers who work the fields together from a house with a farm in Mexico. His image is an older man who appears in mirrors.
Family
He is the son of Osiris and Nephtys — explicitly not of Seth and Nephtys. Sobek is named as his brother. He once misjudged his younger brother, believing him a traitor when he was a youth. His wife beat and kicked him.
Powers
- He rules the death and life of souls, and pregnancy; he decides who dies.
- He can make a dead person cross the wall, and can return to the living a soul that wishes to come back. Every resurrection passes through him.
- He dislikes the undead, and mummies too.
- He guarded the place where the Stone of the Apocalypse resided, by presence alone: «Si estaba Anubis nadie se podía llevar la piedra» (“If Anubis was there, no one could take the stone”).
A figure named Orateol invokes or works “with Anubis”; the nature of the bond is not stated.
Open questions
- Whether the younger giant brother is Sobek or another figure.
- How the Mexican farm relates to his guard of the Stone and his keeping of the wall.
- Who his wife is and why she beat him.
- What the wall is and where; what he asks for a soul’s return, if anything.
- His true face.
