Pablo, the Primordial Time Traveler (Paulus Primigenius), is the figure the Akashic archive names as the first time traveler to survive the first journey and the founder of the Palace of Time. He predates and is distinct from Paulus of Alexandria.

Description
His plate shows a hooded, mantled figure with his face in full shadow at the center of the Palace’s zodiacal circle, holding an hourglass at his chest in his right hand; its grains flow both ways at once. Behind him is the Palace’s great gear, an old copper disk with twelve zodiacal and one hundred twenty lesser sigils; under his feet, the flat calendar wheel of the cosmos in twelve sectors of stone figures. Far off stand Torregrises (left) and Torreluces (right).
His voice is unknown; the Akashic Records keep his gestures, not his words. Academic chronomancy cites him as a founding hypothesis without tying him to any historical figure.
Nature
The archive of the Plata holds that the Alexandrian Paulus, Pablo of Torregrises and all the Pablos of the shared cosmos are his echoes. He founded the Palace as a device, not a building: at the center of the circle he let fall the first grain of sand, and what fell both ways at once was later called Time.
He traveled into future and past at once, and so was trapped at the center. The captivity is chosen: he is bound to the body of the Pablos, not to the circle. Were he to leave, the successive Pablos would cease and the chronomantic archive would be erased. His stillness sustains the two cities. Don José de Iriarte continues as the device’s administrator.
