Nice is a French port on the Côte d’Azur, on the Mediterranean of Uchronic Paris, where the Time Bandits met agents of the Ministry of Uchronic Affairs after their escape on the Orient Express.
It is a medium-sized port for yachts and luxury vessels, with a Mediterranean climate, international trade routes and discretion for clandestine operations. Meteora runs a provisional Ministry base there.
There the group left land travel and boarded Meteora’s yacht, received new false papers, 1,000 francs each and intelligence on the Circle of Serbia. Vivescu agreed to collaborate formally with the group, and Estela prepared to leave, promising future contact with the nymphs.
Nice is the seaward exit from Paris toward Bucharest, the Black Sea and Constantinople.
