The Boreals (Los Boreales) are the adventuring band that preceded the Deep Ones in Antiterra, active in the Great Lakes / Chicago region around Diamond Lake. A black dragon decimated them; El Fabuloso survived.

History
The name refers to the cold north. The band is an earlier link in the line of bands that ends with the Regulators of the final cycle. Its documented members are Kaino, Arthur, Iun and El Fabuloso, the band’s gnome.
The band was decimated by a black dragon. In this version of Antiterra, “where trains and dragons appear”, that dragon became president of Ohio and later President of the United States of America. The band ceased to exist as an active group.
On the band’s loss, El Fabuloso later founded the Boreal Bank, a cross-gesta financial institution that works with future credits, death insurance and percentages with the Mercane.
Conflicting accounts
- El Fabuloso was the only survivor; or he barely survived; or he was revived afterward. The rest fell.
