History
German-accented, she paid a thousand pounds in gold for discretion and passage to Barbados. She traveled with two guards and a large rune-marked iron chest under an arcane lock; it held two dragon eggs, one gold and one silver. At the prow one morning she calmly declined Ludovico’s “eat me” cookie. In the shootout aboard ship she fried half a gang with her lightning wand.
A Greater Water Elemental guards her: the “living wave”, a giant wave six or seven meters high with green eyes that rises and hangs, about to break, covering her retreat by boat. It matches the formula of the chronicle Events of Antiterra: “the princess summons a living wave”.
On the island
When Erzebeth touched the chest, she felt two serpents coiling inside her. On closing it, Karina became possessed: she seized the treasure and walked toward the sea, unresponsive, with unnatural strength, firing missiles from her fingers. In the struggle the group killed her by accident; she had been unarmed. They revived her with blood of demonic lineage: Stormy’s tiefling blood failed, but that of another companion carrying demon drops brought her back. Still possessed and cursing, she spoke the words that lit the runes and opened the portal of descent only under musical suggestion (flute and violin). She remained the only one invited to Atlantis.
The group acknowledged that she never killed them when she could have.
