Funeral Games is a cathartic combat held after the death of Zoe in the Micro Arena of the Hippodrome of Uchronic Constantinople (1055), in which the Time Bandits defeated a coalition of five chromatic dragons.
The ceremony
It is a solemn ceremony decreed by Theodora (the Black Queen), with a wake around a catafalque covered in funeral veils. The five Houses of Byzantium are represented by dragons (red, black, blue, green, white). The companions offer themselves as the “House of the People”.
The combat
Under Mythic Ascension linked to Taurus, they destroy the dragons in a few assaults: Philippe with a crossbow, Corvino as a giant raven (nullifying spells), Swan and Claude with scythes, and Aby with tactical contributions. The people acclaim them, and Theodora acknowledges the victory “grudgingly”.
The companions rise to “popular senators”, with 70,000 in magic items each, and the Senatus Popularis is created.
