Jax is one of the survivors of Ancient Vala, the world before the later phases Medieval Vala and Ardis Vala.
History
With Tailoor, Antino, Sheridron and Garkhan, Jax passed through the collapse of Ancient Vala (c. 2019) and emerged in the initial pantheon of the new cosmos created by the Triumvirate of the Supreme Ones. Nexus is the place where the gods were born.
Role
The archive’s list of deity functions names Tailoor (love, play, pacts), Antino (magic, stars), Sheridron (silver moon, knowledge), Juve (secrets), Garkhan (death, black moon), Shakes (fire, desires) and Auro (war, wind). Jax does not appear in it.
Open questions
- Jax’s specific role in the pantheon is not settled. He may hold an additional function missing from the list, may be a survivor without an explicit deity function (the survivor list and the pantheon list need not match point by point), or may hold a function yet to be identified.
