Description

Of mixed Norse and Indigenous blood from the hyperborean forests of the far east: red-haired and dark-skinned. He carries a staff of living wood with a blue glow that unfolds into a hang glider and lets him fly. He wields lightning and thunder, pits that open beneath enemies, swarms of scorpions and rats, and fireballs. “I just want to go back to my forests.”

History

  • An enemy sorcerer cast him into hell; he left Baator during the infernal interlude, with his debt of cypresses to Dispater.
  • In the final arc of Zaira, the alien Tustra stabbed him with the scalpel of Devolution, pushing him back down the ladder of life (“you’re a monkey or even a worm”). Reduced to a primitive, he fled toward the lake, flying low on his staff.
  • In the Pleroma, like the other marked ones, he offered his head to the guillotine of blackness of Oblivion (“at the end of this tunnel, the head is the dawn”) and reincarnated in the new cycle.
  • In the last trial his mother was revealed: the storm witch, Lady of the wind, who unleashes the tempest’s vengeance and the lightning-javelin.
