| Spanish entry | Edward |
History
- He agreed with the Dutch to locate the Chains of the Pact for 37,000 gems. The Chains, made by the Five Iroquois Nations, turn those bound into demonic creatures.
- His communication token was an Iron Horn, a small, cold piece engraved with a raven that sounds only when struck on a sword’s edge.
- He is tied to an interrogation involving the Flying Dutchman.
- The Buffalo Men captured him during the hunt; how he got free is unclear.
- He appears with the main group in Northern Crown and in a reference to Mulberry Street, New York, 1881, possibly involving time travel.
He wears a dark frock coat with suede lapels, a waistcoat buttoned to the neck, a ruff and light gloves.
Relationships
- Nicaramsa — linked through the Chains.
- No-Voy-Yo — the humble druid who breaks him and succeeds him.
The same soul
Edward shares one soul with Lirio and Novoyo: successive forms of a single soul that oscillates between service and ambition — Lirio serves without glory, Edward is the pole of ambition, Novoyo annuls himself.
Open questions
- After his capture he was suspected, never confirmed, of being a double agent for the Dutch, English, Iroquois, French, or all of them.
