Novoyo — a contraction of no vo yo, “not me”, or the unmarked question “isn’t it me?” — is a blue-skinned tree-being or brut druid who rose from a tomb holding a giant double and joined the company as a shadow, after “breaking the one who came before”, Edward.

Description
His taxonomy never quite closes: tree-being or brut, half humanoid, blue skin, an atmosphere between mist, water and wood. “He rose from a tomb where there was a giant double”; what came out was not wholly flesh, plant or will. A druid without clear investiture, he follows the group in silence. His humility is not that of Lirio, who served by conviction, but of one who annuls himself: not me — not the one I broke, not the one who bears my form. Where Edward bargained with two scales, Novoyo simply absents himself from himself.
History
He was summoned in the green tower of the Descent as the shadow of another, offering himself as companion after he “broke the one who came before” — Edward. He kept as his motto the name he learned in the tomb. He appears in the Northern Crown as Edward’s successor.
The same soul
Novoyo shares one soul with Lirio and Edward: successive forms of a single soul that oscillates between service and ambition — Lirio serves without glory, Edward is the pole of ambition, Novoyo annuls himself.
