History
The fort is the southernmost frontier post, where the regime deposits what it does not want to see. Over time the regime reconsidered him: small tasks were entrusted to him and the demotion stopped deepening.
He returned to the city, Santa María de Torregrises, as a rehabilitated officer at the margins of the conspiracy: infiltrated among the cells that want to blow up the regime’s printing presses, with enough access to open doors civilians cannot. Pepe Bacchiano is his comrade there; Colonel Carmín is the power that demoted and later half-rehabilitated him.
The federal printing press no longer exists; the catacombs (Manzana de las Luces and Catacombs) rumbled the day it exploded, and he was there. Whether his rifle, an old shotgun that once exploded in his hands, survived that day is another story.
Conflicting accounts
The causes of his fall are told differently: that he helped friends persecuted by the mazorca escape; that an accusation of improper conduct weighed on him; that there is an earlier story nobody tells in order. He corrects none of the versions.
