Levita Negra (“Black Frock Coat”) is a nickname borne by one of the allies Lieutenant Fausto frequented during the weeks of calm between two gestas on the frontier. The name refers to the dark, fine-cloth frock coat, the visible mark of the urban man of letters and the cultured Unitarian, a garment the mazorca both sought and feared.
Fausto visited them, found them standing, and counted them among his contacts in the city. They belong to the liberal side, and Fausto trusted that network. They operate in the Rosist capital, Santa María de Torregrises.
