Matamadre is a soldier of the federal army in the Rosist setting. His nickname combines the brutal bravery that federalism rewards with a personal history nobody fully knows.

Background

  • He does not get along with his father; he has said so himself.
  • In his past there is at least one episode in which he acted as he should not have, and witnesses saw his face. They remain at large. Fear of being recognized weighs on his movements more than any order from Colonel Carmín.
  • He stayed in the federal ranks.

Printing-press mission

When Lieutenant Fausto and Pepe Bacchiano took on the risk of the printing press, Matamadre chose to stay in the city, visiting the father he does not speak to. What kept him back was not filial love but calculation, or perhaps fear disguised as prudence.
