Talos is the bronze giant of myth, forged by Hephaestus and recreated by Daedalus in the alternate New York where 9/11 was prevented. He is the matrix from which all the campaign’s automatons descend.

Nature
Hephaestus, smith of the gods, forged Talos as a living colossus of a single piece of bronze, without joint or seam, to patrol the shores of the world without rest and strike down any intruder. His body was invulnerable except for a single vein running from neck to heel, sealed by one nail. Through it ran ichor, which gave him life; with the nail pulled, the ichor spilled and the giant collapsed. His name is thus tied to the hidden weak point.
Recreation
Daedalus, builder of the labyrinth of Crete, now secluded on the Icarus Space Station, recreated Talos with this Earth’s science. From that recreation descend the bronze automatons, such as Keres; from their forge kinship, crossed with the fallen matter of Terminus, come the processed omegadrones. Mars Inc. processes its soldiers on this mold.
