History
A mysterious letter received by the group tells of a mission in 1054 CE, ordered by the Fatimid caliph Al-Mustansir of Egypt, to recover the chalice from Jerusalem, carry it across the Mediterranean to Spain and deliver it to King Fernando I of León. Fernando I gave it to his daughter, Princess Urraca, to protect and hide. It was never found afterward. The letter asks the group to travel to Spain and search the small church of San Pedro in León, where Queen Urraca often took refuge.
Temporal-Templar connection
- The dates 1117–1120 coincide with the foundation or resurgence of the Templars.
- The father of a companion was a Templar defeated by the Grand Master and lost the Splinter of the True Cross.
- The parents met at the gates of the Ivory Labyrinth on the shore of the Dead Sea, where the Templars found the True Cross relic.
- “Cristo es crónimo” (“Christ is chronal”): all the great relics associated with Christ are temporal.
Open questions
- The thread is open and unresolved; the group was prioritizing the rescue of Philippe.
