| Spanish entry | Rachel Betta — Rijel Betta |
She has dark skin, pointed ears, insect antennae in her braided hair and a seal carved between her eyes. Her sword is a matte, cold blade lit from within by green light, which absorbs light; it is a soul-drinker that, by some accounts, drinks the soul of the enemy it touches. She leads dog-sized arachnids mixed with insect, obedient to her, flanked by heavily armored robots from the era of the first automaton industries.
“Rijel Betta” works “as if it were a code”; records spell the surname “Beta” or “Betta”.
Her feminism is described as atrocious: a way of acting, not a program. She admits no male gaze, condescension or excuse. She has no known superior; she is loyal to the sword, and the sword only to itself.
